I {LOVE} FLOWERS! I was very excited when I was asked to create cards with flowers! I had SO many different ideas~ color flowers, emboss flowers, punch flowers, create my own flowers...endless possibilities! It was kind of overwhelming because I didn't know where to start! {smiles}
I used kraft cardstock and the FREE Robyn (tm) Paper Download from The Angel Company (tm) on my first card. Script Background was stamped on the kraft cardstock using Burnt Umber. I stamped off several generations of ink on scratch paper so that the image on my card would be lighter. I used Labels One Nestabilities to cut the Roybn (tm) cardstock.
Here is a closer view of the saying and flower. Did you notice that the saying is not completely adhered flat to the cardstock? I wanted a little lift in the middle! {smiles}
I used normal copy paper for the flower~ not cardstock. You can use cardstock, but I find it easier to roll the flowers quickly when I use normal copy paper. Also, I printed on BOTH sides of the copy paper. Do you see how the inside and the outside of the flower are both pink? If I had not printed on both sides of the copy paper...the inside or outside of my flower would be white. There is nothing wrong with that! It is just a different look as you will see below.
To create my flower, the first thing I did was trace a circle. My circle is a little less that 4". After cutting out my circle, I cut it in a spiral shape motion.
I started to roll my spiral cut circle~ starting from the outside of the circle.
After my flower was rolled, I used a glue dot to secure the end of my flower~ so that it would not unroll. I punched a 1/2" circle and put a glob of zip dry paper glue in the center. I put my flower on top of the punched circle. The flower can "sit" now because it has a base.
Here is a side view. I made one flower with Robyn (tm) printed on one side of copy paper and the other flower has Robyn (tm) printed on both sides of the copy paper. I hope you are inspired to create some of these cute little flowers!

I {love} that The Angel Company (tm) offers a variety of FREE paper downloads! How COOL is that!? I started this card with solid black cardstock~ then added a layer from one of the FREE Black & White paper downloads.
The flower: I punched two small flowers and one large flower. I stamped all flowers with Script Background. I flipped the flowers over, sprayed the backs with water, and then folded/wadded them up. Once the flowers were opened back up, I used a metal paper piercer and punched a hole through the middle of all three flowers. I then used a brad to secure all three flowers together. The flower is attached to the red scalloped cardstock with a pop dot.
Supplies: Script Background, Trendy Greetings, Black & White Paper Download, Black Shimmer Brad, Punches: Extra Jumbo Flower, Super Jumbo Flower, Mega Scalloped, Palette Ink Pad: Noir Black
Here is another card using the Robyn (tm) Paper Download! Love!
Here is a close-up of the flowers. You can see that the flowers are attached with pop dots. The buttons are attached with glue dots. I was actually finished with my card, but I felt like it needed a little something else. That's when I grabbed my Scor-Pal and Scor-Bug Embosser. It's funny how something so tiny can add so much "more" to a card!
Supplies: Simply The Best, Robyn (tm) Paper Download, Extra Jumbo Flower Punch, Scor-Bug Embosser, Pop Dots, Palette Ink Pad: Noir Black
This card was easy and fun to make~ just white cardstock and a few ink pads! I stamped the flowers on scraps of white cardstock. I cut the flowers out and attached them with pop dots. You could easily dress this card up a bit by adding something to the middle of the flowers~ buttons, gems, brads, glitter, etc! I kind of like this simple look as well~ the flowers do all of the work for you!
Supplies: Graphic Blooms, Toot My Horn, White Ultrasmooth Cardstock (6 x 5 1/2), Pop Dots, Palette Ink Pad: Orangerie, Noir Black, L'Amore Red, Reflection Blue, Viridian Leaf
