Guest Designer Debra Miller and Relax & Fish Sneak Peek!

 

Today we have another Sneak Peek! I can't wait to see the catalogue at the end of the month. From the bits I've seen we are going to have some fabulous new images. This is Relax & Fish - isn't it a great masculine image? I had a LOT of fun coloring it.

Like usual, I studied the image.  I actually searched online to get an idea how to color the fish. Is it a Salmon? Rainbow trout? Still not sure. I picked a salmon. Then I compared my general color palette to my TAC paper swatch book and came up with Winchester as a great match for the colors I had in mind.

I colored the image with Copic markers.  I ended up using a lot of colors and even some of the new ones released this year.

Fish: W1, W3, R01, R02, E30; Trees and Foliage: E31, E33, E55, E57, E59, E87, YG91, BG93; Water: BG70, BG72, BG75, BG78, B21; Fisherman: E21, E13, YR24, W3, YG91

The sky is a light pastel blue chalk.  The edges of the image are sponged with Cognac and Burnt Umber Palette ink.

This image has my Dad written all over it.  So I added "for you Dad" from Thinking of You...one of my favorite word sets.  Also some hemp cord from the local craft store, just a little rustic touch to finish it off.

Guest Designer Heather Scott and Enjoy the Ride Sneak Peek!

 
 
I am so excited to share a sneak peek with you today!  This set is called Enjoy the Ride - isn't it darling?!  This set has been designed by Phyllis Harris ~ a new designer that has joined our TAC family!  Phyllis will have even more fabulous sets in our Inspiration Book debuting at the end of June!

I reached for my copic markers to color along with Maggie Collection color scheme and its cardstock and pattern papers.  I love the purple green yellow combo and the contrast and pop it brings to the card.

I wanted to add the flower but did not have any Bazzill Bitty Blooms in purple - so I colored a white one with my V17 copic marker that I used on the bike and polka dots on her shirt in the image!  So easy - and the perfect designer touch.

 
I used a pop dot to attach the end of the sentiment flag - but attached the left edge with doublestick tape - so it lifts off as it goes like a rippling flag.  The polka dot border on the card base is done with the dots from Background Soup and versaMark ink.  I just ADORE how nice versamark looks on the Bazzill cardstocks!  It is so rich and deep and perfect!

Mabelle Sneak Peek!

Since I've been tweeting about playing with this new Mabelle stamp set (scheduled to debut in our upcoming issue of Serendipity) I thought I would post a sneak peek of my favorite image right here!  Of course ... this is my favorite image THIS week!  Wait till you see what else is in this set!

I SOOOO LOVE this carrot car being driven by our very own Miss Daisy Duckie ... isn't she just darling!  Today Miss Daisy is out for a scenic drive through her local Veggie Village Square just up the road.

And isn't an image even MORE wonderful when the stories just flow!  Sophie and I have had a ball playing with this image and using our imaginations to tell stories about this little gals duck life!  Who says stamping isn't educational!  {smiles}.

Seasons Greetings Sneak Peek!

 

Here's a SNEAK PEEK of an image from our new Fall Magalogue ... Inspiration Avenue.  {Inspiration Avenue will go live on September 1st!}.

I had SOOOO much fun with this stamp!  Here I used it to create a festive wrap for a candle.  I LOVE that I can easily cover up the label {underneath my green pattern paper} and create and entirely new look for a very common looking candle!

I think this would be another GREAT idea for back-to-school teachers gifts!  You can easily personalize the label that you design for the candle to suit the teacher and/or occasion.

Guess WHOO Sneak Peek!

Here are two of my favorite new sets in our Fall Supplement  which will be out in a couple of weeks!  I only used 2 stamps from each of these sets and I had SOOOOO much FUN!  The coloring technique I used is FAST, FUN and EASY and it will also be featured in our Fall Supplement so you can replicate this at home!

I made this card for my sweet little Sophie and will surprise her with it in her lunch box (the kind of surprise Sophie LOVES!).  If you are looking for a simple. smart. sophisticated and FAST card ... this one is for YOU!

Natalee Sneak Peek!

Say hello to one of my FAVORITE new palettes!  This is actually a card I made from our Natalee Accordion Album Kit that is debuting in our Fall|Winter Inspiration Book.  I had the opportunity to 'play' with this kit this past weekend and I ended up cutting some of the pieces apart to make my own projects.  This piece was set aside and I decided to make a card ... just because!
