Thanks for joining me today for another edition of GOING GREEN! I knew I would use green in my creation but I was also hoping to recycle something. It's been a tough winter for me and my family with all the sicknesses going around. While looking through my bin of goodies I came across a container that I knew I could use for a get well gift set. I don't know about you but when I find a container that I think I can use for a gift I put it in a bin. Needless to say my bin is quite full of different containers and other items to alter!
The container was a Wilton Sprinkle Jar. I cleaned it and covered it with cardstock and pattern paper. I made a label to resemble a prescription bottle...of course, my medicine of choice is chocolate. I'm a firm believer that it will help anyone feel better :D
I made a coordinating card using all the same supplies. The stamp set, Simply Sweet was used for the image. Love the little bear holding the Rx bottle!I colored it in using my Copics. All of the papers used for my card and jar were from my scrap bin. I put coordinating cardstock scraps along with pattern paper in large clear bags. Then when I go to work on a project I can just pull that bag and get started - no wasted time trying to coordinate papers!
Well I hope you've enjoyed today's edition of GOING GREEN! Has it inspired you to create something from your stash? Why not share it with us! We could all use YOUR fabulous inspiration!! Join us tomorrow where Heather will be showcasing her take on Going Green Week. I can't wait to see what fabulous items she has in store for us!
