Cupcakes And Wishes

We've enjoyed a busy week in the Boyer household as we got ready for a third birthday party!

We had a cupcake theme this year with the title,

"Sweet as Sweet Can Be...Our Little Cupcake is Turning 3."

The TAC PWP cupcake image stamp and Prismacolor pencils really helped me to create darling tent cards for labeling the various treats. 

 
A few stickles on the frosting really added some fun and some depth to the colored images.

We also used the same concept to create treat bags for daycare.

 

It was a very enjoyable, happy day!  It was so much fun to be able to use my hobby to help create fun additions to the party!

Beautiful Cards & Some Projects for Next Year's Idea File

 
The amazingly talented Chris Franco was kind enough to send me some pictures of these beautiful cards she created with the black/white free downloads available on the homepage!  I love the beautiful twist they have on a traditional Halloween card.  While these have a touch of Halloween inspiration, I think they could easily be adapted to Thanksgiving...especially the paper pieced pumpkin.  Isn't it gorgeous?

And I showed a darling owl card, in this post a few weeks ago.  At that time, I wasn't sure who had created the card...but now I would love to give credit to Su Klinkner for her precious creation!  Thanks for sharing Su! 

Also, we were busy in the Boyer household getting ready to have some fun for Halloween. 

First, I'd love to show you my little bubble bather ready to go trick-or-treating with Daddy last night! (Mommy stayed home to pass out treats to kids that came to our door.)

We had such a fun time putting her costume together! And speaking of fun, we made spider bubble treats for daycare since we thought the kiddos might be sugared out...and here is a photo of of the finished result.

Mommy stamped white cardstock with "Happy Halloween", and Brinley colored it with markers.  After cutting the cardstock to size, we wrapped it around bubbles purchased at the dollar store.  The finishing touch was a spider made from the smallest scallop oval punch, pipe cleaners, and wiggle eyes.  It was certainly a fun Mommy/Brinley project!

 Looks like Mommy might need to fix the date stamp on her camera too! ;-)

Owl's It Going

Isn't this darling card trio by Stacy Rogers just too cute for words...and seasonably appropriate to boot?!

I love the inspired use of Hip Hop which gives a fall feel but with a fresh spin.  Plus the little touch of Catelynne across the top of the "Owl's It Going" readily shows the versatility of our paper collections and how beautifully they can be intergrated with each other.

Who's Adorable Card Is This?

First, I'd like to apologize for not posting on Friday.  The whole family has been battling a "bug", but hopefully, we are all on the mend now! :-)

I love this adorable card and how the owl actually holds a pencil.  However, I am not sure which talented Angel created this adorable masterpiece.  If it was you, please let me know so I can give you proper credit!

I thought this was a fun treat to show with the fall/Halloween season approaching.  These would be such cute treats to share in a school classroom...especially since many schools need to handle festivies surrounding this holiday carefully in order to respect everyone's various beliefs.  The owl would play perfectly into a "fall" theme as well.  I think the wiggle eyes also add the perfect touch of silly fun to really finish off the project in a whimsical fashion!

A Cute Little Mini Album

There have been so many adorable Halloween and Fall projects featured on the various TAC blogs as well as areas on the homepage that I'd thought we'd take a little change of pace with the this adorable mini album created by Diana Maldonado!  I love the elegant simplicity of the whole thing!  Wouldn't this be a fun design to use use a blueprint for a mini-album created in your favorite paper line?  Plus...wouldn't this be an adorable way to show the Bind-It-All at your next FUNshop?  What about the beatifully textured cover?  What a great way to remind people the the awesome corrugator tool that they may have forgotten about?  As always the versatility of a design is a huge assest when it comes to having multiple FUNshops.  Simple changes like changing the direction of the binding or the paper line will create a whole new look for your book!

I hope that you have a wonderful weekend!  Old Man Winter is certainly planning to visit us in Kansas this weekend according to the weatherman!  Guess I will finally have to put away the flip flops!  Always a sad day...:)
